Chapter 7 Involuntary Bankruptcy Petition against Agape World

On February 5, 2009 we filed a Chapter 7 Involuntary Bankruptcy Petition against Agape World. After that filing we formally requested that the Court appoint an Interim Trustee to administer the affairs of Agape World. Our request was granted on February 12, 2009 and Kenneth Silverman, Esq. was appointed Interim Trustee. One of the first actions to be taken by the Trustee will be to assemble a list of creditors. If you were an investor in Agape World you should receive instructions from the Trustee regarding the procedure for filing your individual claim with the Bankruptcy Court. The Trustee also has the authority to commence lawsuits to recover funds for the benefit of Agape World investors and creditors. We anticipate that the Trustee will commence litigations against individuals and entities who may hold funds obtained from Agape World or who may have played a role in Agape World’s fraudulent actions. If you have questions concerning the Trustee’s administration of the Agape case, you may call his representative Ronald J. Friedman at (516) 493-6300.
